Where is Pyramid Rock Festival?
The Pyramid Rock Festival brings in the New Year each year at a farm located on the south coast of Phillip Island, Victoria. Melways Reference: 531 J8. Check out our Getting there page for more information.
When is Pyramid Rock Festival?
The Pyramid Rock Festival dates are Saturday 29 December 2012 until Tuesday 1 January 2013. This year will be the ninth year for the festival.

Online tickets are on sale now from tickets page of this website. You can also purchase local tickets from retail outlets:

Tickets can sell out so it's always best to make plans and get everyone organised early!
Can I bring a campervan, caravan or trailer?
Yes you can bring a campervan or caravan. Trailers are ok too. All items brought must comply with conditions of entry and trailers and vans will need to be checked on entry. No gas bottles or glass etc. Please click here for full terms and conditions of entry. Very large camper vans or caravans will need to park towards the back of the campground which is a little further from the main arena. Possibly a little more walking.
Do I need a separate ticket to camp?
No. All tickets to The Pyramid Rock Festival include free camping. Bring your own camping gear. Make sure you pack warm cloths and sleeping bag and your tent, mattress, pillow, toothbrush etc, etc. Camp chairs are welcome but please leave couches and armchairs at home.
What tickets are available?
The Pyramid Rock Festival has 2 types of tickets. 3 Day passes which gives punters access to the event from 11am, 29 December and 2 day passes which allows access from 8am, 30th December.
Who can attend the festival?
The Pyramid Rock Festival 2012 is an 18+ event. You must be 18 year's or over on the day you come to Pyramid and have valid Photo ID.
What kind of items are not allowed at Pyramid?
For the sake of everyone's safety and maximum enjoyment, there are some items that you will not be permitted to bring into the venue. We'll need to check for alcohol, glass bottles, fireworks, flares, dangerous weapons, gas bottles and barbeques - please don't bring these things with you as we can't let them into the festival grounds. Refer to the Terms and Conditions for the full list of no-nos.
How do I apply for volunteer work at the event?
Volunteer applications are now open. To apply to join the Pyramid Rock Festival volunteer team click here. Applications fill quickly so best to get in early.
What's the access like for drivers arriving at the festival?
All festival goers will need to check in with their vehicles through the main entry point located at Gate 2 on Back Beach Road. Over nine year's of running the festival at this location we're happy to say that we've got a very speedy and relatively painless entry system. There's usually only a short wait within the festival venue for processing.
How do I get to Pyramid Rock Festival if I don’t have a car?
Pyramid Rock bus transfers will operate once again in 2012. A dedicated bus service will run from Melbourne’s Federation Square to the Event on the 29th and 30th December and return on Tuesday 1st January 2013.
Bus transfer passes will be available online only. You will be able to purchase these passes when from the Festival website later this year. This is a great way to get to the festival without the hassle of organizing carpooling and also helps the environment. Bus transfer passes will be available for just $44 return including booking fee.
What is the submission process for artists wishing to perform at Pyramid Rock?
Band submissions have closed for 2012. Please email bands@thepyramidrockfestival.com from March 1, 2013 for 2013/14 event submissions.
What is the submission process for Caterers and Market Stall holders wishing to trade at Pyramid Rock Festival?
Market submissions have closed for 2012. Please email info@thepyramidrockfestival.com from March 1, 2013 for 2013/14 market and catering enquiries.
What time do we have to leave/when does the venue close?
Due to permit conditions, we'll have to insist on patrons leaving the festival before 4pm on Tuesday 1st January 2013. Please do your very best to clean your campsites. You can take your campsite rubbish to one of the venue 'waste depots' on departure. We know it's been a big few days but it has for us as well and your help here is greatly appreciated! If you have any doubts about whether you are okay to drive, please don't leave the festival and seek advice from staff on site.
