The Pyramid Rock Festival 2012

Venue

This is a truly amazing site for a music festival located at one of the most picturesque locations in Australia!

Pyramid Rock Festival is actually named after Pyramid Rock which is a basalt rock formation just offshore from the festival site. The Pyramid shaped rock formation can be seen from parts of the festival venue. It's said to have mystical powers... we sure think it adds something special to the festival.

It will help to know a few things about the site before coming down. To assist everyone in easy access and to ensure everyone has the best possible time at the festival please familiarise yourselves with the following information.

Camping patrons - all days

Camping patrons please follow the signs coming onto Phillip Island. Signage will direct you to the main entrance of the festival site. All patrons will need to check in with their vehicles through the main entry point located at Gate 1 on Back Beach Road.

Since 2006 access to the festival site has been quick and painless and the event has been very successful in eliminating any long queuing or traffic jams. This has been achieved through acquiring additional land, which now acts as a processing area for cars before entering the venue. New internal roadways were constructed and Pyramid Rock Road is restricted to service vehicles and shuttle buses.

Many more paddocks are acting as a processing and holding area for cars waiting to gain entry to the venue. The processing area has the capacity to hold our expected daily volumes of traffic. All tickets will be checked and cars searched for prohibited items in 2011 (just like all past events). Ticketing and wristbanding procedures will take place in this area for all cars wishing to gain entry to the camping area. All patrons will be wristbanded. Please have your current proof of age ID with you to receive 18+ wristbands. Toilets will be available in the processing area which is located 2.5km from the venue.

Pyramid Main Stage

Once you have set foot on this amazing site and have gotten over the view, you'll want to take a look around. You'll easily find the Pyramid Main Stage where Australia's finest acts will be playing with their very special international guests. Main Stage acts will be playing 30th and 31st! Stay tuned to check out playing times which will be posted closer to the event.
